12/19 Casual Typography

My Newton Blog has gone Casual! No I am not talking about my laid back sense of responsibility towards writing full-lengh blog posts, but rather the change in typeface I have applied to all of my incoming Tweets. The posts in the Tweets category, those that originated from Twitter, are now all depicted using the Apple Casual typeface. This effect of using a nonstandard web font is not achieved by image replacement, but rather by either one of two emerging web technologies. The first technique sIFR uses accessible Flash to replace specified text with rich typography. The second, if Flash is not available, is the @font-face construct introduced in CSS2.
